Greetings, Programs!
I have a few updates for y’all (all of them great):
Just a reminder: there’s still time to register for October 16th’s free AI “vibe coding” event. We “sold out,” but I just added ~25 more seats. If you’ve already registered, then I’d appreciate it if you told a friend / neighbor / co-worker / colleague / cousin. ;)
We have a Premier Platform Sponsor: Rocket! “Forget flimsy MVPs. Build comprehensive, world-changing apps, websites, dashboards & more with AI.” If you were looking for a good place to begin for creating a more full-featured app, give Rocket a launch!
On top of the light refreshments that will be served, Stately.cloud is going to be sponsoring an array of pizzas for the remainder of the evening! So, your creativity won’t be hampered by hunger.
We also had a large, anonymous inbound donation! I’d love to tell you more about it, but I can’t say much apart from… they wanted their support to be anonymous, believing strongly in what we’re staging with this event series.
Here’s What I Vibe Coded Recently
I was asked (by a non-technical friend who will be in attendance) if I had any tips for getting started with “vibe coding.” My top suggestion for non-technical users? Don’t try to think like a developer. Think more like a product manager - the actual user (not the person trying to develop any kind of software). It’s not for you to get tripped up on the technicalities. Let AI do the heavy lifting!
It’s how I’m able to crank out fun and/or useful web apps in no time. Over the past few weeks alone, here are the apps I’ve created for you to try:
Electronic Sorcerer - A Retro Handheld Game Arcade: This is a collection of classic retro handheld electronic games like Tic-Tac-Toe, Echo, and Blackjack 13. A nostalgic digital toy for all ages.
Simon Says - A Classic Memory Game: Test your memory! A tabletop electronic game reimagined. Follow the sequence of lights and sounds. How long can you last? Features spinning, color-shifting, and randomizing modes for an extra challenge.
Blinking 12:00 - A Retro Digital Clock Experience: Remember the old VCRs and digital clocks perpetually flashing 12:00? Relive that retro nostalgia with this simple, full-screen blinking clock animation.
Qlock - The Word Clock: Qlock is a visually stunning, minimalist web application that tells time using words instead of numbers, displayed in a clean, elegant grid.
Scroll City: A procedurally-generated cyberpunk cityscape. Control the scroll speed, direction, city density, and visual effects to create your own futuristic metropolis.
Neotropolis - An Interactive WebGL Shader Experience: Explore Neotropolis, a real-time, interactive WebGL shader art experience. Customize psychedelic, abstract cityscapes and visual effects directly in your browser.
Shape Weaver: An interactive 3D particle physics simulation. Morph particles into various shapes, customize colors, and apply real-time effects in this stunning WebGL experience.
Social Me: A central hub for all of my social media profiles, projects, events, and contact information. Connect with me across the web. 100% vibe coded instead of using a third-party aggregation template!
Brickout - A Retro Arcade Classic: A modern tribute to the classic arcade brick-breaking games. Enjoy retro graphics, power-ups, and challenging levels.
LCARS: An interactive, generative LCARS (Library Computer Access/Retrieval System) interface inspired by Star Trek. This dynamic web application creates randomized futuristic layouts and data streams.
Apple Glow: A mesmerizing interactive WebGL shader. Manipulate vibrant, glowing patterns and explore the beauty of generative art in your browser.
And, yes, every one of these working apps is available on GitHub!
Yours Digitally,
